There is no cost for your cap, gown and tassel as it is paid by your Student Success Fee at registration. There are additional regalia accessory items that you can select for a charge.

Pickup your regalia for FREE at Grad Fair 2026 in the Jamestown Campus Store on April 15th and 16th or any day afterwards through the day before Commencement. Please have your Student I.D. with you to pick up your cap and gown order.

Ship to Home is available for an additional fee. If you forget to Pre-Order your set by the deadline or did not attend Grad Fair, we always have extra regalia sets available for pickup at the Jamestown Campus Store up until the day before Commencement.

Gold Honors Tassels

Gold tassels are given to students to demonstrate academic excellence. These are handed out during the check-in process at the Greensboro Coliseum right before Commencement. Please see the Registrar's Office in Medlin Bldg., 3rd floor for more information. Gold tassels are distributed only at the lineup because final overall grades are not official until just a few days before the ceremony.

Phi Theta Kappa Stoles

Members of GTCC Phi Theta Kappa can wear PTK Stoles at Commencement. You can purchase them at the GTCC Jamestown Campus Library or online at the PTK website. Congratulations!

Our graduation partner vendors, Herrf-Jones and Oak Hall, also offer announcements, class rings, and diploma frames in store. Some alumni and graduation items are available on our website year-round. Please refer to your Graduation Packet for more information on Commencement.
