Log into Canvas and access your Canvas course.
Make sure that POP up blocker setting is set to allow pop ups.
From left navigation bar click on the DayONE Materials:
Click on: Load DayONE in a new window

You may see more than one course’s DayONE materials, select the correct course materials from your library:
Click Read Now to access your eTextbook
You have a choice here to continue without an account, sign into your existing Bookshelf account or create one.
**Having a Bookshelf account offers the benefit of being able to access your eText from other devices and outside of Canvas.
Enter in the email address you will use for your Bookshelf account, we suggest using your gtcc.edu email, and click continue (if you have a completed Bookshelf account, use that same email when logging in)
If you continue without an account, you will be asked to Agree to Terms then you can start using your eText.
If your email is not tied to an existing Bookshelf account, you will be asked to complete your Bookshelf account by providing a password and agreeing to the terms of use.

You will receive a verification email, once you verify your account you can start reading your eBook!
OPTING OUT
Please be advised it is NOT recommended that you Opt-Out, as these materials are required by your professor to complete the course and the fee charged is at a discounted price, but to do so:
From left navigation bar click on the DayONE Materials:
Click on: Load DayONE in a new window
You may see more than one course’s DayONE
materials, select the correct course materials from your library:
click the ‘Want to opt-out?’ button.
Select your reason why and click: Opt Out.
If you Opt Out:
- You will be responsible for purchasing these materials on your own.
- A refund of your book/courseware fee will be put back on your student account for you to receive your refund in 4-6 weeks.
- You will lose access to your eBook after the opt out deadline.
- You can opt back in at any time before the opt out deadline; the option to opt in will not be available after the opt out deadline has passed.
If you OPTed OUT and the deadline has passed, when you try to access your eBook in Canvas you will see the option to Buy Now instead of the Read Now button. This will give you the option to purchase the eBook.
