How to locate your Macmillan Course materials in Canvas for a DayONE Access course:

Log into Canvas and access your Canvas course.

Make sure that POP up blocker setting is set to allow pop ups.

From left navigation bar click on the DayONE Materials:

You may see more than one course’s DayONE materials, select the correct course materials from your library:

Click Launch Courseware. (You may also access Macmillan Courseware (Achieve) by clicking any link to Macmillan content. (Macmillan reading assignments and Achieve activities will usually be located under modules)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sign into your existing Macmillan account or Create Account (use your gtcc.edu email)

You will see this the first time you log in.

**Make sure to use your GTCC.edu email as your email address when filling in this form.

 

Create a password and 3 security questions along with the name of your institution (Guilford Technical Community College)

 

Agree to terms of use.

 

 

 

 

You will receive an email confirmation & activation link, 

Click the Complete Registration button in the email.

Once you have verified your email you are ready to sign into Achieve.

 

You can now use your Achieve courseware and your eText!

Begin reading and working! You now have access to ALL your required course materials. Remember: always access your Macmillan content from your Canvas course to continue enjoying codeless access and grade syncing.

 

OPTING OUT

Please be advised it is NOT recommended that you Opt-Out, as these materials are required by your professor to complete the course and the fee charged is at a discounted price, but to do so:

click the ‘Want to opt-out?’ button.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Select your reason why and click: Opt Out.

If you Opt Out: 

  • You will be responsible for purchasing these materials on your own. 

  • A refund of your book/courseware fee will be put back on your student account for you to receive your refund in 4-6 weeks. 

  • You will lose access to your courseware after the opt out deadline.

  • You can opt back in at any time before the opt out deadline; the option to opt in will not be available after the opt out deadline has passed.

If you have OPTed OUT and it is after the deadline when you click on links for Achieve or eText you will see the screen below. Once you complete any of these steps your access to the course materials will be restored.

  1. Purchase access - Purchase online using a credit card or PayPal. For further instructions, see the help article Checkout through the Student Store.

  2. Start a grace period - Enroll in the course for free for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, you will need to convert free trial access to full access.

  3. Enter an access code - Type in your pre-paid access code, then click the Enter button.
