The Ragsdale YMCA at GTCC Jamestown is a state-of-the-art facility that serves as the hub for our Physical Education Department and Titan Athletics. Conveniently located near the Bonner Drive entrance, it offers a wide range of wellness and community programs for students, faculty, and staff.
YMCA Membership & Facilities
GTCC students, faculty, and staff are eligible for memberships at the Ragsdale YMCA. Enjoy access to:
Amenities: Indoor pool, basketball courts, cycling/yoga studio, weight room, and indoor track.
Programs: Swim lessons, sports leagues, and specialized sessions for Active Older Adults.
Youth Services: Summer camps and after-school care.

Physical Education Department
The YMCA houses GTCC's Physical Education faculty offices and classrooms. We offer a comprehensive Associate of Arts in Physical Education Pathway, designed for students planning to transfer to a Bachelor of Science program.
Focus Areas: Kinesiology, exercise science, sports medicine, health promotion, and wellness.
Convenience: Many of our core PE classes are held right here on campus, making it easy to balance your studies with your fitness goals.
Titan Athletics
The Ragsdale YMCA is the home of the Titans! GTCC competes in Region X of the NJCAA.
Basketball & Volleyball: Our Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams practice and play all home games in the YMCA gym.
Baseball: The Titans play at Ragsdale High School (directly across the street) and occasionally at the High Point Rockers or Greensboro Grasshoppers stadiums.
Training: All Titan athletes utilize the YMCA as their primary strength and conditioning facility.
Support Your Teams! Admission to all home games is free. For information on schedules, tryouts, or scholarship opportunities, please contact our coaching staff.
